Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Facial Gains LLC, an Ohio (USA) limited liability company ("FaceLS", "we", "us"), and govern your use of the FaceLS service at facels.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What FaceLS is — and is not

FaceLS analyzes photos you upload and produces measurements, scores, written assessments and suggestions about facial proportions and features, plus visualizations such as simulated changes and hairstyle previews. All output is informational and for personal, cosmetic curiosity only. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a recommendation to undergo any procedure. Scores are statistical estimates produced by software and scoring models that can be wrong; do not make medical, psychological or financial decisions based on them. Always consult a qualified professional before any cosmetic or medical procedure.

2. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older. You must sign in with an account you own, provide accurate information, and keep your account to yourself. We may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms.

3. Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You give us the limited license needed to operate the service: storing your photos, deriving facial measurements from them, sending them to our analysis and image providers for processing, and showing the results back to you. We do not use your photos to advertise, and we do not sell them. How we handle them is described in the Privacy Policy.

You may only upload photos of yourself. Uploading photos of another person without their explicit consent, or of anyone under 18, is prohibited and grounds for immediate termination.

4. Plans, billing and renewals

FaceLS has a free plan and paid subscriptions (Basic and Pro) billed monthly, quarterly or yearly through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Paid plans differ in usage allowances (for example scans and hairstyle previews per rolling 30-day period); current prices and allowances are shown on the pricing page at purchase time.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. If we change a price, the change applies from your next billing period and we will tell you in advance by email.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any time from the billing page, which opens your Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and is not renewed after that. Because the service is digital and delivered immediately, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started, except: (a) duplicate or clearly erroneous charges, (b) where we terminate your account without cause before the period ends, or (c) where applicable consumer law requires a refund. If you are in the EU or UK: by starting to use paid features you request immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day withdrawal right once you have used a paid feature; until then you may withdraw for a full refund.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. That includes: uploading photos of others without consent or of minors; attempting to access other users' data; scraping, reselling or systematically extracting the service or its output; reverse engineering; probing or overloading our infrastructure; using output to harass, demean or discriminate against any person; and any unlawful use.

7. Availability and changes

We are a small team improving the product continuously. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will not remove a paid feature mid-period without a proportionate remedy.

8. Termination

You can stop using FaceLS and delete your account at any time from the account page — this deletes your photos and analysis data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if we terminate a paid account without cause, we refund the unused remainder of the current period.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence are unaffected.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
